However, it was created for completely different purposes and tasks - namely to disrupt and destroy all means of detection (mainly radars) of the enemy and thus increase the chances of success of US Navy combat missions. The main weapons of the Boeing EA-18G Growler are modern ALQ-99 jamming containers, but also anti-radar missiles (AGM-88) and a self-defense missile (AIM-120). Currently, the main user of the EA-18G is the US Navy. The only foreign recipient so far turned out to be Australia.
