The Maus was designed by Ferdinand Porsche in 1942 to be an unstoppable fortress on tracks. Armed with a 128mm KwK 44 L/55 cannon, a 75mm secondary gun, and massive armor, it weighed nearly 188 tons. Only two prototypes were built before the project was canceled due to impracticality—its speed topped out at just 13 km/h, and it couldn’t cross most bridges.
