A simple yet beautiful model of the yacht "Spray," belonging to traveler and sportsman Joshua Slocum, who was the first to complete a solo circumnavigation of the globe. On this yacht, the Captain made his round-the-world journey from 1895 to 1898 and covered 46,000 nautical miles. It is unknown when the boat was built, but Slocum bought it when it was "barely alive" and nearing the end of its days; he rebuilt, reconstructed, and prepared it for the voyage.
The model is not complicated, and although I indicate that it is suitable only for modelers with intermediate experience, if there is someone to supervise and advise the modeler during assembly, it will also enhance the collection of less experienced modelers. This is the first release in the new "W. M. C. Models" "Retro" series. This series will feature reprints of previously released models that are no longer available, but remain popular and in demand among modelers. This edition is supplemented with new drawings, photographs of the original, and is not as "condensed" as the first edition. The graphic instructions are excellent, while the text instructions are minimalistic. The cabin parts are supplemented with portholes, and the graphics of the wooden parts have been changed, making them closer to the structure of the original wood.
