This seaplane was built in 1954 in Italy at the Guido Abbot shipyard, located on Lake Como. Its design and appearance were influenced by the construction of hydrogliders in the United States in 1954, which was almost completely different from the style of similar seaplanes built in Italy. The Ferrari F1 "Antares II" is one of three surviving seaplanes built at this shipyard. The model depicts the boat as it was presented at the Paris Retromobile Auto Show in 2014. Despite its intricate design, the model is not very complex and can be assembled even by an inexperienced modeler. The model is highly detailed in appearance.
