The EO-2621 excavator was produced starting in 1967 at the Kiev "Krasny Excavator" plant, and in the Chelyabinsk region at the Zlatoust Excavator Plant. Additionally, since 1974, it was manufactured in the Kiev region at the Borodyanka Excavator Plant. Later, the production of this equipment was established at a number of other engineering enterprises across the CIS. The semi-rotary hydraulic excavator EO-2621 is designed for performing small-scale loading and earthmoving operations in soils of categories I, II, and III, with a digging depth of 3.0 meters and a dumping height of 2.2 meters. The machine is equipped with two types of working equipment: excavator and bulldozer. The main working component of the excavator equipment is a standardized bucket with a capacity of 0.25 m³, which can operate as both a front and backhoe. The bulldozer is a permanent fixture and is used for backfilling trenches and minor grading work, as well as serving as a counterweight. The excavator is mounted on the chassis of a UMZ-6 wheeled tractor. This tractor is a universal row-crop model belonging to traction class 1.4, intended for a wide range of agricultural tasks, and is also used in construction and industry. It was produced at the Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant from 1970 to 2001 with various modifications. The layout of the UMZ-6 is classic for machines of this class with a 4x2 wheel arrangement. The tractor’s frame consists of a semi-frame made up of two longitudinal side members and a cross beam. The clutch housing and gearbox housing are mounted on this structure. The tractor was equipped with a four-stroke, four-cylinder D65m diesel engine with a power output of 60 hp (44 kW). A complex but very interesting model for modelers with intermediate experience and experts.
