The Lanchester Armoured Car was originally a British design, but several units were supplied to the Russian Empire during WWI. In Russian service, some were modified with 37mm Hotchkiss guns, enhancing their firepower for use in rugged terrain and against fortified positions. These vehicles were deployed in Persia, Galicia, and the Caucasus, and later saw action during the Russian Civil War. Their combination of mobility and firepower made them valuable assets in reconnaissance and support roles.
